Chapter 4. Preview Window: Preview & Test Your Site
───────────────────────────────────────
After you are finished building content in the Content window, click the Preview tab to
reveal the Preview window. The preview window contains a built-in browser for the
convenience of testing and reviewing your site. This browser is XtraLean's own
proprietary browser and is designed to display each and every element exactly as it
would appear across multiple browsers on cross-platforms. What you see in
ShutterBug's preview window, is exactly what you will see on the web through any
modern browser on OS 9, OS 10, and Windows. With Version 2.0, you can also
preview your site in an external browser.
The HTML output of your site has been carefully and thoroughly designed to resolve
any known rendering issues that can occur with today's many different browsers. This
means you don't need to worry about fixing and testing for individual browser
shortcomings. We've already done that for you and strive to stay on top of any new
issues that may arise with newly released browser versions. This ensures consistent
results across multiple browsers, without any added hassle to you. To review the
browsers that ShutterBug compliance is tested for, please see Browser Compatibility in
Section 1.1.
