The More tab has 8 different tool buttons for common image editing tasks.

Rotating Images

The rotate image button will rotate the image 90 degrees left or right with each click of

the button. The rotate feature is also available from the ImageWell main menu under

Tools->Rotate...

Open and Save Images to Disk

ImageWell is not limited to just dragging an image into the well - you can either press

the Open button or select File->Open from the ImageWell main menu to open any

graphic file on your computer. Also, rather than dragging a file out of the window or

pressing the Send button, ImageWell can save the image file on your computer by

pressing the Save button or selecting File->Save from the main menu.

Copying and Pasting to the Clipboard

The copy and paste buttons let you import and export your images to and from other

applications using the clipboard. These functions are also available from the ImageWell

main menu - use Edit->Copy Image to Clipboard to export via the clipboard and

Edit->Paste Image from Clipboard to import into ImageWell via the clipboard.

Screen Grabs

ImageWell is very handy at taking screen shots and labeling them (more on labeling in

the next section).  Pressing the screen grab button (a.k.a. grab screen button) causes

ImageWell to temporarily disappear from the screen, grab the screen and then re-

appear with the screen shot already in the well.

Grab Selection - two modes

When using the grab selection mode, a cross hair appears allowing you to select an area

on the screen. By pressing the space bar, the cross hair changes to a camera. Move the

camera over a window and ImageWell can take a screen shot of that window. Pressing

the space bar again, returns the camera back to the cross hair selection mode.

Now that we have a screen shot, it's time to add some labels. Click here to learn about

the Edit Window.
