ShutterBug 1.0 for Mac® OS X Offers Clean & Powerful  Approach to

Web Album Creation

Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA — December 21, 2004 — From the makers of ImageWell, XtraLean

Software introduces ShutterBug, a refreshing approach to web album creation and updating content on

the fly.  ShutterBug equips users with efficient and revolutionary content creation tools including

Thumbnail Zoom,  «ImageWell-Inside, » and the first of its kind, the Edit-in-Place Browser

window. ShutterBug, a compact 784 KBs download, is available immediately from XtraLean’s website for

a special introductory price of $29 USD. A free demo version is also available for evaluation.

ShutterBug empowers users to design and publish content to the web without any knowledge of HTML.

Edit-in-Place lets users edit the layout and design on the fly, web preview the site, and test the links all

in one window, pushing the limits of what users can do with their content. Users can crop, rotate, add

thought clouds to photos with the ImageWell editor and take close-up shots of thumbnails with the

Zoom tool. With the click of a button, ShutterBug makes uploading and sending changes speedy and

hassle-free. No other consumer web album maker in this class can perform all of these functions in one

compact application.

"We’re redefining easy,"  Co-founder, Hagen Kaye says,  "If you can use a mouse, you can design,

create, and publish a photo album to the web."  Users can drag and drop to position and resize objects

on the page, float text around objects, and customize thumbnail sizes to whatever aspect ratio they

want. Advancing the WYSIWYG concept, ShutterBug goes one step further in providing a multi-task

environment that supports a smooth and uninterrupted workflow, paving the way to true innovation in

web content publishing. What users do and see in ShutterBug is what really appears in all browsers on

all platforms.

Other standard features include drag and drop to reorder photos and pages, drag and drop photos from

iPhoto and other picture folders, text content editing, easy hyperlink insertion, automated slideshows,

slideshow editing, fade transitions, captions, watermarks, thumbnail resizing, number of rows and

columns, add borders and frames to objects and photos, add background images to web pages,

customize a template, use one of the pre-packed templates, or create own unique look and feel.  Plus

much more.

A full-featured demo version that watermarks images with ‘Demo’ can be tried for free, downloadable

from xtralean.com. Purchase and registration of the product will remove the watermarks and can be

purchased for the special introductory price of $29 from XtraLean’s online store.  ShutterBug requires

Mac® OS X 10.3.4 or higher and web host space for uploading websites to.  ShutterBug supports dot

Mac accounts and WebDAV.

More useful additions are planned for ShutterBug in the near future.  XtraLean offers full customer

support services for ShutterBug and welcomes all feedback.  For more information about XtraLean and
