Content Window: Pages

The Content window facilitates the starting point of your website: building the content for your

photo albums, groups, text descriptions, page titles and masthead text, captions & iPhoto

comments, watermarks, thumbnail links, navigation menu, and the overall organization of your

web pages. The content window also contains the ImageWell image editor, an advanced editing

mode for adding META tags and additional HTML, as well as access to the Shopping Cart

interface. Note: The Watermark feature is accessible from the Main Menu->Tools->Add/Remove

Watermarks. Other features available from the Content window include: password protection for

private viewing on the web, add external links to the navigation menu, add and upload external

files, iPhoto integration, and the new "Easy" button for adding links and encrypted email

addresses to your text content. The user interface contains adjustable windows so you can

resize the work areas according to your needs, as shown in the picture here.

Preview Window: Website

The Preview window contains a built in web browser for web previewing your site and testing

links. You can also preview in an external browser as well. The interface allows you to navigate

through your site using 3 different methods: by clicking on your navigation menu and text links,

using the navigator buttons at the top of the interface (home, forward, back), or by selecting

pages from the pop up list at the top of the interface. Control-clicking on an image lets you go

back to the ImageWell editor in case you need to do some last minute edits on your pictures.

The one-click Send button lets you quickly export your site and perform incremental uploads.

The Preview window also lets you select and apply a theme, choose different templates for

quick page customization, and import and export themes to and from a location on your

computer (accessed from the main menu or theme library window).

Layout Window: Templates

The Layout window is template driven and facilitates the creation and editing of the design of

your site. The interface contains tabs that hold the design tools for each element in your

website. The WYSIWYG design tools let you do as little as minor tweaks or as much as a

complete overhaul or creation of your very own. This is the place to edit the content for colors,

styles, positioning, borders, size, collages, drop shadows, slideshows, thumbnail display, menu

animation, and many other properties of the elements and content contained in your site. You

can also add background graphics, layered images, image rollovers, Flash and QuickTime

movies, audio files, HTML snippets, contact forms, counters, and 'xtra' text and image boxes.

Customizing and managing both templates and individual pages, can also be done from within

the Layout window. The window is collapsible in order to give you more room on the canvas,

and includes object guidelines and handy ruler guides to help you easily align objects on the

page.
