Which Version Is For You?
Please read the following information carefully.
ImageWell is available in two different versions, at two different prices. The most significant differences
between the two versions are as follows:
System Requirements
ImageWell V3.7.6 requires OS X 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7 or later, and is a Universal Binary with Intel
Mac and PPC support. ImageWell V4 requires OS X 10.6.5 or later (Snow Leopard & Lion), taking
advantage of the latest enhancements and leveraging the core technologies of Snow Leopard.
Pricing
ImageWell V3 = $19.95 (includes ImageWell V3, ImageWell V4, and the separate Batch Processing
Program when it becomes available)
ImageWell V4 = $4.99 (does not include batch processing)
A free, full-featured 7-day trial is available to try out for both V3 and V4 (the download links are below).
Why such a big difference in pricing? ImageWell V3 contains a built-in batch processor and is
available in 15 different language localizations. ImageWell V4 does not contain a built-in batch processor
and is localized in English only.
The new version of ImageWell has been split into two products - ImageWell V4, which
focuses on image editing and a separate product which focuses on batch processing multiple
images. During this transitional phase, until the batch processor program is available, you can run
both V3 and V4 simultaneously on your Mac without conflict. For example, if you are a registered V3
user who needs to batch process your images, continue to use V3 for your batch processing needs,
while also taking advantage of the new improvements in V4 for all of your other image editing needs.
Main Differences in Feature Set
ImageWell V4 contains most of the features from ImageWell V3, but also takes advantage
of the latest enhancements in OS X 10.6.5 and leverages many new technologies unique to
Snow Leopard. While still containing the features you have come to know and love in V3, ImageWell
V4 has been completely reworked from Version 3 and offers many significant improvements to the user
interface with new, beneficial additions such as: the palette inspector, core animation, core text, core
image for image filtering, plus many other improvements and capabilities that can only be accomplished
through the use of OS X 10.6.5 technologies.
There are 3 features that will be added back into V4, that are currently only available in V3:
• Watermarking (will be available in V4.1)
• Templates (will be available in V4.1)
• Favorites (will be available in V4.1)
