ImageWell V2 for Mac® OS X Now Available With 20 New Enhancements:

Still Lean & Still Free

ImageWell is packed with features and has quickly become an essential piece of software I use daily.

Shelli Auman, Graphic Design-Prepress, The Chronicle, Onalaska, WA

Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA — May 11, 2004 — XtraLean Software today announced ImageWell

V2, the popular image editing software for quick manipulation and upload to an iDisk, FTP server, or

other web server. Resize, crop, shape, rotate, and watermark an image. Enhance the image with an

elegant drop shadow, add an annotation, or highlight with labels and arrows. Screen grab, copy, paste,

drag and drop an image into the well, rename, and send to the server with one click of the button. With

automatic copying of multiple URLs for easy insertion into an HTML document, ImageWell V2 is the

latest in lean, practical web publishing.

"I frequently upload pictures and this is the quickest program I have found that works so smoothly, I

almost take it for granted",  said Shelli Auman. Consumers could spend over $50 on separate

shareware apps to crop, resize, shape, watermark, and send to an iDisk, but ImageWell offers all of this

for free, including full customer support, in one handy application. Optimizing the tight design featured

in V1, V2 delivers twenty new useful enhancements that will help improve users’ workflow and save

time and money.

Leveraging the main menu, ImageWell saves and stores multiple server locations and offers more

choices for setting personal preferences, making server set up and user specific options easy to manage

and organize. The ability to quickly send the same image to different locations, while removing the

headache of accidentally overwriting another file puts ImageWell in a league of its own. URL History tops

it off allowing users to paste multiple URLs and tags all at the same time with one click of the mouse.

"I was getting tired of being nickeled and dimed by shareware companies for $10-$20 apps that can only

do one thing. So I created ImageWell V2 for our loyal users as well as myself",  says Hagen Kaye, Co-

Founder of XtraLean Software and Head of R&D.

The new and improved user interface brings a slew of practical tools such as image rotation, watermarks,

drop shadows, more draw objects, and improved edit capability with web preview. The larger editing

canvas lets users place draw objects outside of the original image area and automatically adjusts the

canvas to fit the new objects. Other exciting new features include Apple- scriptable functionality, manual

resize, more grab options, non-destructible crop, import directly from digital camera, and more.

ImageWell V2 is available immediately for free download and requires Mac® OS X v10.2.8 or better. V2

is also available at popular shareware sites. XtraLean offers customer support services for ImageWell

and welcomes all feedback. Future developments with other applications coming soon from XtraLean

can be found at the company’s website and support forums.
