Connecting to Your iDisk

1. Go to ImageWell-Preferences from the main menu or hit the Locations button in the More

Drawer. The Preferences window will slide out from the top of the ImageWell main window.

2. Click the Locations tab to reveal the web server locations pane.

3. Click the "+" Add button at the bottom left of the pane. Double-click on the text field that

appears in the Locations list on the left side of the pane. Name it "iDisk" or any name that you

will be able to identify as your iDisk.

4. From the drop down list located just beneath the "Location Properties" heading, select iDisk.

The Host name is already filled in for you.

5. Type in your .Mac account username and password.

6. For Directory, type in Public or Pictures to send images to your public folder or pictures

folder. You could always create a second iDisk location that is pointed to the alternate folder.

DO NOT insert a period before the directory name. The URL that gets copied already contains

the period.

7. If you do not want to worry about forgetting to rename your images and accidentally

overwriting files, check off the box underneath the Directory field called, "Warn me before

overwriting file on server."

8. iDisk uses a URL for file transfer that is different from the URL where the file actually gets

published for viewing. Therefore a separate URL for viewing the file is required. ImageWell will

enter this information for you ("URL for viewing" property box at the bottom of the Locations

window). This is the URL that gets copied to the clipboard when you send to your iDisk.

9. Click OK.

10. ImageWell is now ready to send images to your iDisk.

Note: ImageWell will not create new folders on the iDisk. The folder must already exist on your

iDisk before you can send files to it.
