Adding Draw Objects to Your Image

There are 6 draw objects located in the

Edit panel of ImageWell: cloud, balloon,

label, arrow, square, and circle. You can

use these objects to label your image

with a heading or title, add an annotation,

highlight and circle a point of attention, or

anything else you can think of.

1. To Add a Draw Object to Your Image:

•  Click the Edit button to reveal the edit panel.

•  Click the corresponding tool button for the object you wish to add.

•  Move the mouse over the image to position the draw object; then click the mouse to drop

the object in place. You can position the draw object outside of the image area as well.

ImageWell will automatically adjust the canvas to include the new objects in the viewable

area.

•  To input text, double-click on the object, or on the default text, to highlight it. Add the text

and any font styles you would like to apply to it.

•  To cancel the insert object function, select the object on your image and hit delete.

•  Repeat the above steps to add more objects.

•  When you are satisfied with your image, click done to return to the main window.

2. To Edit a Draw Object:

•  Click the Select tool.

•  Click on the object to select it. When the object is selected, grab handles will appear. Click

and drag the grab handles to change the size.

•  Clicking and dragging the center of the object will move the object to another position on

the canvas.

•  For clouds, balloons, and labels, click on the yellow grab handle to manipulate and move

the "limb" or extrusion of the draw object.

•  To edit the text, double-click to highlight it, and make your changes. Note: text cannot be

added to the circle and square objects.

•  Click on the color wells to change the fill and border color of the object. You can make the

color fill transparent by using the opacity feature in the Aqua font panel.

•  Use the slider bar above the color wells to adjust the width of the border of the object.

•  Press delete on the keyboard to delete the object.

•  To deselect the object, click the Select tool again or click outside the draw object anywhere

on the image or canvas.

•  When you are finished adding draw objects, click the Done button to return to the main

window.
