Screencast Tutorials - Be sure to check out our Screencast tutorials to help you get the most out of
DataLore Version 2.0. These screencasts demonstrate DataLore in action and cover a variety of areas,
including a rundown of the basic features, searching locally, on the network, and on external drives, as
well as how to leverage the keyboard hot keys. Each tutorial is approximately 2 minutes long. Please
check back often as we add more tutorials covering an array of topics.
Built In Help Guide - Under DataLore Help on the Main Menu, you will find a very helpful user guide
that explains how to use DataLore, how to perform different searches, from simple to complex, using
the more "Lore" sidebar, a handy text shorthand reference page, and much more. You can also use the
information in the more Lore sidebar to guide you as you move through your various searches.
Using Special Characters - This is a handy reference page from the built in Help Guide, that lists the
special characters and text shorthand with a handy legend to show you what each one means and how
you can use them in your searches. This page also illustrates examples on using special characters to
perform more complex search queries and the different ways you can combine characters to produce
even more defined search results. You could either print this page, save it as a .pdf or simply access it
from the built-in help guide.

Try DataLore out to see the speed for yourself, and fully utilize the special characters and text
shorthand, and the more Lore sidebar to get more helpful information on your files and related
searches. Try narrowing down the search results or filtering by file type and file kind to make your
search even faster. Also be sure to try out the network searching that makes finding files on other Macs
so convenient and fast! And last but not least, be sure to view the screencast tutorials to help you
leverage DataLore’s capabilities to their fullest!
